Twelve years ago I started selling racehorses from Brisbane, NSW and Victoria, to Townsville, Country Queensland, Alice Springs and Darwin. Although I did this mainly as a hobby I got to know the industry very well. I would also sell some of these horses to the Darwin Turf Club and receive a free holiday to the Darwin Cup for my services. Through this I associated with many affiliated trainers and owners. I now know that I am ready to take on this role as a Bloodstock Agent professionally and I feel I can pass on my wealth of knowledge and experience gained since I was a young boy. As stated I have been around horses all my life. It is a passion of mine to sell winning horses to new owners. The best horse I have ever sold was a horse called Lashed. Lashed was a wonderful money earner. She had 37 starts for 7 wins; 5 seconds and 7 thirds, ( Earning $928358 total in Prizemoney ) including winning a Group 3 race as a 2 year old in South Australia; 1st in a Group 2 at Flemington; 4th in a Group 1 at Caulfield and 2nd in a Group 1 at Flemington as a 3 year old. Best of all she won 3 Group 1’s as a 4 year old in New Zealand. She is now a triple group 1 winner.I have always dreamed of selling a Melbourne Cup winner and in 2004 Lashed had her chance, only to run 18th out of 24 runners, but I was so proud to think she made the field.Lashed is by the exciting Sire – Encosta De Lago and boy has he taken Australia to a new level. People have commented on how he is now one of the next Super Sire’s along side Danehill, who is unfortunately now deceased. When I sold Lashed as a 2 year old she had only run 6th at Sale and 5th at Echuca in maiden races. She was up for sale at $30,000 and most people thought there was something wrong with her or she was just a dud. Lashed made these people eat their words as she won close to a million dollars and God knows how much she is worth now, as a mare at stud.Lashed has had a foal to the champion sire Zabeel at New Zealand’s Cambridge Stud. Zabeel had a stud fee of $95 000 plus GST. Zabeel sired the Caufield Cup Trifecta in 1999 and sired the Melbourne Cup Quinella in 1998. Maybe my dream might come true with Lashed’s foal winning the Melbourne Cup one day. Zabeel has sired 32 individual group one winners plus 90 stakes winners. He has won the Champion Australian Sires Award twice and the champion New Zealand Sires Award four times. It goes to show that even tried horses for sale can go all the way. Sometimes horses need more time to show their worth or there is a secret to what makes them click and no one has found it yet. Whatever the case maybe I will personally do my very best to sell you a sound winning horse. I was once told by a very wise person that “every horse is for sale at the right price”. So if you leave details of what sort of horse you want, with a realistic amount of money you would like to spend, I will ask trainers and owners of horses that fit your criteria to consider the offer, even though their horse isn’t officially for sale.
